TREASURER; Charles Wilde VICE-PRESIDENT: Stuart Kortbein PRESIDENT: Donna Buchholz ADVISOR: Mr. Loff SECRETARY: Lucille Noth CLASS HISTORY There are many things to be remembered during our four years of high school. At the beginning of the freshmen year we had thirty students. During the year Willis Crouch, Royal Flietner, and Charles Marco withdrew and Shelby Bell joined us in the second semester. At our first class meeting we elected the following officers: President, Magdalen Hemmersbach; Vice-President, William Heilman: Secretary-Treasurer, Nina Bray; and our class advisor was Mrs. Schwartz. The first event of the year was our initiation. The girls were dressed as boys and the boys as girls. We gave a return party later in the year. We returned to school on August 30th with twenty- eight members. We held initiation for the freshmen on September 15th in the gym. The freshmen gave a return party on October 15th. The officers for our Sophomore year were: President, Shelby Bell; Vice- President, Duane Granger; Secretary, Donna Simon- son; Treasurer, Ruth Fick; and our class advisor was Mrs. Landgraf. We started our Junior year with twenty-eight members. The officers for the Junior year were: President, Norman Heintz; Vice-President, Margaret Sinnott; Secretary, Duane Granger; Treasurer, Donna Buchholz; Reporter, William Heilman; and our class advisor was Mr. Olson. During the year we sponsored movies in the high school gym. They were held every two weeks. The next event was our class play, “My Friend Irma,” which was held on April 20th. Our advisor was Mrs. Landgraf. We held our Junior Prom on April 27th. Much time was spent in preparing for our prom, we chose baby blue and silver as our colors. The theme was “Stairway to the Stars. Don Kaye provided the music for the evening Norman Heintz was chosen as King, he chose Lucille Noth as his Queen. The Prince and Princess were William Heilman and Ruth Fick. On September 4th of 1956 we had an enrollment of twenty-seven students, Donna Bever did not return for the 1956-57 School year. Shelby Bell, Robert Rice, and James Larson withdrew during the first part of the year. Our class play, I Love Lucy, was held November 14th. Mrs. Landgraf directed it. Magdalen Hemmersbach was editor-in-chief of the annual. The photo- grapher came and took pictures for the annual the first part of January. We also voted on our ski queen candidate and D.A.R. Lucille Noth and Magdalen Hemmersbach were chosen re- spectively. Commencement excercises will be held May 23, 1957. Our speaker for the evening will be Mr. Grover from Black River Falls. As the Wilton High School doors close behind us and with the happy memories of our school days we set out to fulfill our dreams and ambitions.
