Freshmen PRESIDENT Peter Kruse VICE-PRESIDENT Ivan Short SECRETARY Goldie Winchell TREASURER Helen Phalin ADVISOR Mrs. Landgraf At the beginning of the school year there were twenty-nine freshmen. Our advisor was Mrs. Landgraf. During the year Robert Pisha and Katherine Bills moved away. Howard Hawes and Leanne Anderson joined our class. We were initiated by the Sophomores in September. The boys and girls were dressed in underwear. The girls pulled a toy and the boys carried a doll. We gave them a return party on January 5, 1956. Those who participated in Forensics were: Richard Kruse and James O’Rourke. Members of the Health Council were: Karon Zuhlke and Janet Liefke. Those in A-Band were: Goldie Winchell and Arthur Tillman. Helen Phalin was a band majorette. Arthur Tillman and David Dunnum were on the A-team basketball squad. Richard Kruse. Raymond Saxby, William Sinnott, Peter Kruse, and Ivan Short were on the B-team basketball squad. Rodney Wilde was manager.
