PROPHECY (Cont.) In front of the police station sat the squad car. Charles Zellmer now is the chief-of-police. We could see him sitting up to the desk. We arrived safely at the gym in Carol’s Careful Cars. Julitta Martalock came out and welcomed us. Marty and she had taken over the bowling alley, and had increased it to 20 alleys. As we talked to her, up drove the newest model of Cadillacs. Out stepped Orvis Schindler. He operated die Schindler Airlines from Chicago to Minneapolis. They made two stops a week at Wilton on the way. Soon after we had entered the gym, we heard a commotion. It was none other than Joy Boldon and Lucille Hemmersbach. Joy is now performing on T.V. and Lucille is living in Montana with her husband, Harlan. She enjoys Montana as much as she did the summer before she was a Senior. Soon a couple more classmates arrived, John Eckelberg and Daryl Schindler. They have taken over their fathers’ farms and enjoyed farming very much. Then Alice Cox and Evelyn Larson appeared. Alice was a dress designer and together with Evelyn they owned the Fashion Shoppe at Wilton. Up drove the newest model of Studebaker. Out stepped Jack Uselman, who was running test cars for Studebaker. Next Darlene Goetz arrived. She is married and is making a very good farmer's wife. Agnes Gallagher came in. She has taken Miss Swanson's place as County Superintendent of Schools for Monroe County. She really likes her work as she always enjoyed children. Margaret Short and Karon Larson followed Agnes in. They have both fulfilled their high school wishes, becoming farmers’ wives. They were bo married soon after school was out. Nancy Meacham came in wi e Pasch family and her own family. She is living at Janes- ville where Joe is manager of e Fisher Body Co. She likes living in Janesville very much. Deloris Rudolph came in wi her suitcase. It held her accordian and she is now playing with Lawrence Duchlows band. Harland Crevistion and Dale Simonson came all ready to tell us about eir large farms. They bo owned eir parents’places and had bought land to enlarge em. The door opened again and in walked Tom Wiseman who now was e editor of e daily paper in Wilton. He was interested in newspapers while in high school and went right on wi his work so he now owns e Star Herald News. Last but not least, in came Caroline Steinhoff. She is e head nurse at e newly built Wilton Hospital. Now our class was all present and we talked over our school days and what we had done since we had left school in Mav 1955.
