Peth, Treasurer-Marion Reineke, and Advisor- Mr. Loff. Those in band were: LaVonne Boetzel, Lila Mae Farmer, Joanne Fick, Sylvester Hayes, Aleda Ann Peth, Ervin Short, and Ellen Steinhoff. Those who took partin Forensics were: Joan Anderson, who went to the district meet, Ellen Steinhoff, Sylvester Hayes, and JoAnn Hemmersbach. The Junior Class Play which we presented on October 26, 1951, was a big success. The name ofthe play was Leave it to Grandma. In the cast were: Ellen Steinhoff, Joan Anderson, Lila Mae Farmer, Jim Rice. Joanne Fick, Eleanor Phalin, Roland Buchholz, La Vonne Boetzel, Edwin Wendland, and LeRoy Schindler. The play was directed by Mr. Mongue. The assistant director was Aleda Ann Peth. The Junior Prom was one of the special events of the year. Roland Buchholz was chosen King. He chose Joan Anderson as his Queen. Mr. Valesh, Mr. Loff, Mr. Chinnock, and Mrs. Schwartz, were the advisors. The theme Fairyland” was carried out by pastel colored crepe paper and fairy book character drawings. Chuck Carroll and his orchestra provided the music. The annual basketball tournament was won by the Juniors. The coach for the Juniors was Mr. Loff. They chose the name of FALCONS. They received first place in the tournament. The Junior girls played Volley Ball with the Senior girls. The Seniors won. Our Senior year starts with 21 members. Bernard Kotten joined us the latter part of September. We received our class rings in August from Jostens. Graduation pictures were taken in November by Morrison's Studio of Milwaukee. We presented our Senior Class Play, Hillbilly Weddin , on March 27, 1953. We graduated on May 21, 1953.

ClaoA Mioiox - 53 At the beginning of our Freshman year in 49 , our class consisted of twenty-eight students-. Joan Anderson, LaVonne Boetzel, Roland Buchholz, Marie Bugbee, Beulah Cox. Way land Creviston, Lila Mae Farmer, Joanne Fick, Omar Gier, Jo Ann Hemmersbach, Alrita Laufenberg, Phyllis Martin, Joe McCann, Dorothy Moore, Beverly Parr, DeraldPasch, Myron Pergande, Aleda Ann Peth, Eleanor Phalin, Marion Reineke, James Rice, Le Roy Schindler, Ervin Short, Ellen Steinhoff, LaVonne Stone, Virginia Slater, Anthony Sinnott, and Edwin Wendland. We elected class officers early in the year. They were as follows: President- LeRoy Schindler, Vice-Presi- dent- James Rice. Secretary- Lila Mae Farmer, Treasurer- Eleanor Phalin. Mr. Chinnock was our advisor. We were initiated the twenty-third of September. The girls dressed as boys and the boys dressed as girls. Later in the year we gave a return party. On the twenty-first of October we moved into the new building. Those who took part in band were; Marion Reineke, Virginia Slater, Beverly Parr, Lila Mae Farmer, Ellen Steinhoff, Aleda Ann Peth, LaVonne Boetzel, Joan Anderson, and Joanne Fick. The girls who took part in forensics were: Aleda Ann Peth, Joanne Fick, Ellen Steinhoff, Lila Mae Farmer, and Joan Anderson. School ended the twenty-sixth of May with a picnic for all. We began the new school year with a class enrollmentof twenty-seven members. Virginia Slater and Anthony Sinnott dropped out, and Vernon Seekamp joined us. Early in the year we held our class meeting during which we elected officers: President- Le Roy Schindler, Vice-President- Phyllis Martin, Treasurer- Marion Reineke, Secretary-Joanne Fick, Reporters-Lila Mae Farmer and Ellen Steinhoff. Mr. Chinnock was again our advisor. On October 5. 1950, we gave the Freshman initiation. The boys were dressed like girls, and the girls were dressed like boys. A party was held at night. We danced and played games. Lunch was also served. Myron Pergande withdrew in December. Those from our class who participated in band were: Lila Mae Farmer, Ervin Short, LaVonne Boetzel, Joanne Fick, and Ellen Steinhoff and Aleda Ann Peth. The boys who took part in basketball were: Ronnie Buchholz, Le Roy Schindler. Omar Gier, Jim Rice, and Edwin Wendland. Our class was also well represented in baseball. Those who went out for Forensics were: Ellen Steinhoff, Ervin Short, and Joan Anderson. We had a few other activities this year which were made very successful. We all looked forward to our Jun- ior year and hoped it would be just as successful. The Junior Class began its regular classes in September with 23 present. At the beginning of the year we lost Phyllis Martin, Dorothy Moore, and Beverly Parr, and Sylvester Hayes joined us. By the end of the year we lost: Omar Geir, Sylvester Hayes, and Myron Pergande. However, we gained LaVonne Stone who joined us soon after school started. Junior Class Officers were: President-Ellen Steinhoff, Vice-President- Joan Anderson, Secretary- Aleda Ann

CIcusa 3!o£tn-‘53 The years have passed so swiftly by In our years at Wilton High. We have to say goodby to all-- And to our troubles, large, and small. Joan Anderson, a fair haired lass, Was the Queen of the Junior class, She does her work both neat and well And in forensics she does excell. Marion Reineke, who lives in town, Would never let a good friend down. She's always happy and full of pep, She and Jim are really hep. Marie Bugbee who's full of fun Has a smile for everyone. With her work she is usually ready Even though she's going steady. Next in line is the blonde of our class, She is a happy smiling lass, LaVonne Boetzel is her name. I wonder who’s her latest flame. Jo Ann Hemmersbach who does O. K. Does her part in the F. H. A. On her face she has a smile. She is happy all the while. Aleda Ann Peth, a studious girl. Always has her hair in a curl. A business career is her ambition. A stenographer's job her life's position. Joanne Fick with a bright smile Is happy and merry all the while. A teacher she'd like to be someday We're sure she'll succeed with her pleasant ways. Alrita Laufenberg, quiet and meek, An occupation soon will seek We all know. She's got a steady. When he comes, she’s always ready. Ervin Short, a friend of all Likes to talk in study hall. He makes noise and has fun As though he has his work all done. Jim Rice, who has lots to say, Would like to be a coach someday. When it comes to sports he's on top. No matter what happens he’ll never stop. Lila Mae Farmer, who is so neat Letters from Dick she will always keep. A secretary she would like to be But we will have to wait and see. Eleanor Phalin who has her fun, Is a friend to everyone. She always has her hair just so, To dances and shows she likes to go. LaVonne Stone, happy and gay. Never lets trouble get in her way. She seems to always have her eye On a lot of different guys. Bernard Kotten who joined us last year Says leaving school won't bring tears. He likes to drive Barney's pickup truck Let's hope he has no bad luck. Roland Buchholz, a country lad. When he leaves school, he will be glad. He was the prom king of last year And basketball games he likes to hear. LeRoy Schindler, next in line, Is always out to have a good time. He likes to drive the family car And go to places near and far. Ellen Steinhoff who likes to read, In our class she takes the lead. As Salutatorian of this year She will be happy in her career. In every class you'll always find A girl of Beulah Cox's kind. In school she is full of fun. She is a friend of everyone. Deraid Pasch who lives in town Likes to drive Junior's truck around. To stay out of school he does his best He doesn't like to write a test. Wayland Creviston, a bashful guy, Around the girls he is quite shy. The redhead of our class is he What will his occupation be?
