ClaoA Mioiox - 53 At the beginning of our Freshman year in 49 , our class consisted of twenty-eight students-. Joan Anderson, LaVonne Boetzel, Roland Buchholz, Marie Bugbee, Beulah Cox. Way land Creviston, Lila Mae Farmer, Joanne Fick, Omar Gier, Jo Ann Hemmersbach, Alrita Laufenberg, Phyllis Martin, Joe McCann, Dorothy Moore, Beverly Parr, DeraldPasch, Myron Pergande, Aleda Ann Peth, Eleanor Phalin, Marion Reineke, James Rice, Le Roy Schindler, Ervin Short, Ellen Steinhoff, LaVonne Stone, Virginia Slater, Anthony Sinnott, and Edwin Wendland. We elected class officers early in the year. They were as follows: President- LeRoy Schindler, Vice-Presi- dent- James Rice. Secretary- Lila Mae Farmer, Treasurer- Eleanor Phalin. Mr. Chinnock was our advisor. We were initiated the twenty-third of September. The girls dressed as boys and the boys dressed as girls. Later in the year we gave a return party. On the twenty-first of October we moved into the new building. Those who took part in band were; Marion Reineke, Virginia Slater, Beverly Parr, Lila Mae Farmer, Ellen Steinhoff, Aleda Ann Peth, LaVonne Boetzel, Joan Anderson, and Joanne Fick. The girls who took part in forensics were: Aleda Ann Peth, Joanne Fick, Ellen Steinhoff, Lila Mae Farmer, and Joan Anderson. School ended the twenty-sixth of May with a picnic for all. We began the new school year with a class enrollmentof twenty-seven members. Virginia Slater and Anthony Sinnott dropped out, and Vernon Seekamp joined us. Early in the year we held our class meeting during which we elected officers: President- Le Roy Schindler, Vice-President- Phyllis Martin, Treasurer- Marion Reineke, Secretary-Joanne Fick, Reporters-Lila Mae Farmer and Ellen Steinhoff. Mr. Chinnock was again our advisor. On October 5. 1950, we gave the Freshman initiation. The boys were dressed like girls, and the girls were dressed like boys. A party was held at night. We danced and played games. Lunch was also served. Myron Pergande withdrew in December. Those from our class who participated in band were: Lila Mae Farmer, Ervin Short, LaVonne Boetzel, Joanne Fick, and Ellen Steinhoff and Aleda Ann Peth. The boys who took part in basketball were: Ronnie Buchholz, Le Roy Schindler. Omar Gier, Jim Rice, and Edwin Wendland. Our class was also well represented in baseball. Those who went out for Forensics were: Ellen Steinhoff, Ervin Short, and Joan Anderson. We had a few other activities this year which were made very successful. We all looked forward to our Jun- ior year and hoped it would be just as successful. The Junior Class began its regular classes in September with 23 present. At the beginning of the year we lost Phyllis Martin, Dorothy Moore, and Beverly Parr, and Sylvester Hayes joined us. By the end of the year we lost: Omar Geir, Sylvester Hayes, and Myron Pergande. However, we gained LaVonne Stone who joined us soon after school started. Junior Class Officers were: President-Ellen Steinhoff, Vice-President- Joan Anderson, Secretary- Aleda Ann
