CLASS HISTORY To relate in detail the History of the Class of l94l would be to write a long, long book. Indeed, our career through high school has been marked by various accomplishments and achievcntnts, various failures and defeats, but through it all we come, smiling at the thoughts of our success, sad at the thought of farewell. In the fall of l937 a happy-go-lucky band of Hnon-verdantn boys and girls entered Wilton High School. We were guidec through our struggles of Freshman life by A, 3. Starncs. Our first year of high school life was one of keenest pleasure and joy. So rapt were we in the thrill of being in high school that no idea of being Hgreenn flashed in our minds. Nevertheless, as the year neared its close every Freshie was joyously awaiting his Sophomore ranking. In the fall of l938 we happily entered our Sophomore year. Our class was indeed an exception for it never bore out the traditional moaning of the word, HSophomorc,H Our instructors for this year were: Hr. A. B. Starnes, Liss Claris Smith, Kiss Gwendloyn Vann. Soon the year was over and wc then climbed to our third rung of our High School Ladd r. Hrs. Z. W. Peed was our home room teacher. One notable event of this year's activities and one which .'i, is a pltasant memory was the Junior-Senior Banquet given April lf, l94O, Activities of every sort crowded this year and it sped by all too swiftly. Finally came that day of days for which We .t-. had striven three long, long years-the day on which we were officially called Seniors, wise, experienced, dignified Seniors! For our room teacher and special counselor we had Alma Ormond. Other teachers were ur, E. L, Veasey, Hiss Iildred Winston, Hr. Z. C, Ioore and Hr. Robert Weaver. This year every activity in which Seniors have been prominent seemed to blossom forth and to be really worth while, Thus, through, tears, through laughter, through fears, through joy, through work, through play, we have reached the top of the ladder, and as we, the Senior Class of l94l, understand our endeavors, We have achieved the pinnacle of success!
