DICTIGNARY DEMONS The English Department at Wilson, headed by Mrs. Mildred Ice, consists of more than a capable staff. Whether it is the stand- ard course offered each year, or the Honors English offered in the Senior year, the English Department thoroughly prepares a student for college courses, and sometimes, arouses a more than passing interest in the subject. Whether his strength is grammar or literature, the English department is more than willing to help a student pursue his interests. 14 I wonder how much Mr. Roy does make on a bar ofcandy? Besides these required courses, there are also several electives which a student may select depending upon his preference. This is very significant when it is considered that Wilson was the only American choir in the competition. avublwf' STUDENT COUNCIL Having a woman for a president cer- tainly did not hamper the effective- ness ofthe '71-'72 Student Council. With four starters out even before the Pottstown game and many more injuries to plague the team, the Bulldogs finished 7-2-1 which was good enough for a tie for third in the Tri-County League. BACCALAUREATE: A TIME FOR REFLECTION 1 ti, Anxious Seniors await their diplomas. June 5, 1972 was a day, To most students in Berks County it was a day just like any other day. They got up, went to school, did their lessons, and then went home. But to the students in the Class of '72 at Wilson High School it was THE DAY. To some students it was the end. The end of their school days and the beginning oftheir work days. Oth- ers viewed it as a mid point between what they want to be and what they are going to be. But no matter how a student looks at it, graduation is THE DAY - the day adolescence ends and maturity begins. ,ri t ,..nf-4 f '.: JUNE 5, 1972 - A DAY TO REMEMBER i l t t t .M L..- M..- Dr, Carl F.
