Jan. Feb. Mar. Apr. 18-Magazine subscription campaign brought to a close. Awards presented to students. I9-Commencement invitations selected. 9.1-Wilson's tangle with Robesonia Basketball Team for league leadership postponed. 26-Senior Christmas PartyfYuletide celebration at Fisher's Club. 9.-Reopening of school postponed seven days because of an epidemic of colds. 14-Wilson radio program over WEEU, Reading. 16-Junior Red Cross campaign begun. Gray gowns selected for graduation. zz-Wilson loses basketball game to Robesonia, and with it the Championship. 6-Seniors selected name cards. 8- Harmoneers, radio broadcasters, entertained in assembly. 14-Streets covered with glassy ice. No school. zo-Seniors entered the Magic Graphic Pad business. zz-Debate with Mt. Penn at Mt. Penn, and with Boyertown on the home stageg both won by Wilson 3fo. 23-Patriotic Dance. 28-Close of Red Cross Drive. 1-Red Cross pins distributed. 8-Benefit Concert. District Attorney Wanner of Berks County spoke to the Senior class. , ' 13-Seniors selected their flower, motto and colors. 144Reading Hospital shows descriptive films. 15-Senior Class Party. Mr. Leinbach, Game Commissioner of Berks Co. spoke to Student Body on preservation of wild life. mg-Junior play, Miss Adventure, played to a large audience. 5-Annual Spring Frolic Dance. 11-A play, David Copperfield, selected for class night. I2'GYm Exhibition. 18-Easter program. Rev. Wood, speaker. In the evening, Fashion Show, Puppet Show, Art display and open house. 22-Opening league baseball game with Sinking Spring-Wilson victory. 25-Wilson victory over Birdsboro at the Birdsboro diamond. 26-Gettysburg Excursion. Spring Musical. 27-National Youth Week inaugurated with celebration in West Lawn. Wilson students take over civic duties. 29-Wilson's baseball squad wins home I-game with Mt. Penn. CLASS DIARY 059 Sept. 4- School opens-Our steps are turned toward the hilltop. 13-First Senior Class meeting. Nomination of Ofhcers. Ring committee named. I4-AH old favorite-Reading Fair Day. No school. 19-Seniors divided into committees to investigate a report on newspaper and yearbook. Oct. 1- Wilsonian oihcially born. Seniors voted for yearbook, junking newspaper project 4-Class rings displayed, the class evincing general approval. 5-We laid aside books, threw studies to thegwind, and embarked on a doggie roast to Indiandale. Q1MOfE committees. Enlargement of class will soon be necessary to take care of them. io-Seniors adopted, for trial, the policy of admitting their parents to dances free of charge. 15-Dollar Dayg or better, Treasurlng Day for sagging Senior coffers. I9-MI. Giles, Police Commissioner of Reading, spoke to the class. zz- Wilsonian Staff selected, including every Senior on its roster. 23-Another Senior's nightfoff , Hallowe'en Party at Fishers, 24-The morning after-Visiting Day. A splendid chance to sleep off the effects of last night's party. 26-H3llOW6,6H Dance marks the largest gathering on the hill in the school's history. 27-Saturday-Another day for sleeping purposes-to allay last night's foot' soreness. Nov. 2dColor Day-Senior room judged to be best decorated. 4+-Seniors voted unanimously in favor of a formal commencement, but only after heated argument. 7-First Quarter completed. Report Cards appear. Today adjudged by many Seniors to be a good day for absence. 8-Beginning Education Week. Mr. Giles spoke to entire school. Io-We witnessed the AlbrightfLaSalle football-game. 12'-ClHSS ring displayed to class. 14-Faculty Basketball Game. Faculty wins. zo-Cedar Crest Play Day. Gym girls and Miss Nicely participate. ZIQWC viewed commencement caps and gowns. a.3fThanksgiving Dance. Crchestra uniquely accommodated in a log cabin. 27'F8.ll Musical. 28-Today, Wilson said goodfbye to Mr. Shappell, who is becoming a radio announcer. Twenty-Two
