'fd-'l HAZEN s. MAST 07-lei' Mast Hazen's laughter has many a professional jokester beat for good all around jollity. He can always be found where the rnerriment's greatest and is often the nucleus of a laughing circle in the hall or cafeteria. He's an ardent aviation enthusiast and knows all the whys and whereforesu of aeronautics. Chemistry's his hobby and may some day be his profession. All in -all, Hazen is a topping schoolmate, a hne sport, and best of all, a good friend His future, he informs us, is in the hands of fate, but we're conlident that he will soon take over the controls and do a little solo stunting on his own . . ' i ELIZABETH F. MILLER Pinky Betty, though one of the youngest and smallest of our group, is indeed very active both scholastically and athletically. Her forceful character has 1et her into debating, dramatics, and athletics including the basketball and gym. team. She has done much in making the Wilson radio program a success. Her pleasing personality and pleasant smile has endeared her to everyone including the opposite sex. She is yet undecided as to her future, but we know she will be successful in whatever she attempts. Lots of success, Betty . MOSER Kenny How strange a picture of the class would look without Kenny He's rather silent, yet no fraternal gathering is complete without him. His place in the estimation of his classfmates has been won by wholesome, hearty goodffellowship, and he needs no other recommendation to make complete the impression that he has left with us. Kenny never attempts to attain unwieldy and unsociable heights-above the level of his friends-but is content to be just one of the gang , and it is in such a capacity that he has built permanent friendships that promise to endure when all other mem- ories of school have faded. Whatever your undertakings may be, success be with you, Kenneth. Dr amatics 4, vii Mary is the tiniest girl in the class, but she is right up front when it comes to studying. Mary has struggled with Latin for four years, and that's saying a lot in her favor. Mary says very little, and very few of us know her really well. However, she and hazel have been friends all through school and they have some joking times together. Mary doesn't know exactly what she's going to do next year, but we wish her happiness in whatever she undertakes. Glee Club 1, 2. Fzfteen

,,.. I FLORENCE L. HARDING W uFlo're'nzo Floss F Florenzo hails from that fast growing city of Fritztown. She is one ll of our competent commercial students and can always be found in 105. She served faithfully in preparing our radio program. Floss usually nnds time S to do her shorthand while she is eating lunch. Her best method of wasting G time is talking. Lest we forget, Floss is pianist for that famous Fritztown Orchestra. She has lofty aspirations and hopes to be somebody's private N secretary. May success be yours, Floss . I Glee Club 2, 4Q Library 4Q Art Club 1, 3, 4. l A J. ERNEST JCNHSTON Johnston i'E1'nie Johnston is everyone's friend. He is always willing and ever ready to do a favor. Ernie is skilled both in playing basketball and in driving Chevrolets. He also loves to miss public speaking. But seriously we know that someone will realize the value of Ernest's good-naturedness, and we I know that he will succeed in whatever he undertakes. Our best wishes are ever with him. Baseball Manager 4, Glee Club 3. ' f fffwwi lotta NALD C. The sight of Donald on his bicycle is a familiar one to residents of West Lawn, and, well it might be, for the two are almost inseparable. Donald's hobby, other than that of taking short bicycle trips, is the designing of model airplanesg and he has attained remarkable proficiency along this line. His ambition is, naturally enough, to be an aeronautical engineer, and his adeptness in mathematics augurs success in that profession. Donald's chief delight is a sandwich between classes, a pleasure that nothing short of an earthquake can induce him to forfeit. He possesses, in addition to an enviable appetite, a keen sense of humor, excellent conversational powers, and the inestimable qualities of a good listener, all of which combine to make him a welcome companion and a valuable friend. Pres. Athletic Association 42 Class Pres. QQ Debating Team 3, 4. 3 DOROTHY C. LIED Q MDM., 4 Dot is the pal of everyone. Her giggle is heard everywhere. She has made a splendid record on the winning debating team of which she was a member for the first timeg she has brought many other honors to our school. MYERS Blue eyes, curly brown hair, and a peaches and cream complexion. just what we girls have always been yearning for, are Nature's gift to Hazel- Conscientious, shy and willing, Hazel is the ideal student, but we who know her well realize that she is a good sport and enjoys wholesome fun. Hazel's future is rather uncertain, but we feel sure that if she enters into life in the same manner she went through school, Hazel will surely succeed.: The seniors wish you happiness, Hazel l Glee Club 1, 4. RALPH S. MCYER Dutch Ralph, the young man with plenty of school spirit, ambition, and willingness to do things, is the one who deserves most of the credit for the success of the yearbook. He has been with us throughout all of our high school life and is well liked by everyone. He has kept up his good scholastic record remarkably well with the many extra activities he has taken part in. He has not only helped to make our debating team successful, but also our Wilson radio program and athletic teams. We shall always remember him as the detective in our class play, Small Town Romeo .
