A thoughtful face stares intently at a blank paper. Writing, then erasing, crossing out a word, and then adding another, he is still unsure of his style. Gradually, through group evaluation and consistent practice, he will acquire an individual, more polished style of writing. The semester creative writing class was only one of six new English courses. A world literature seminar, and four pilot courses were also offered to seniors this year. The pilot courses were designed to examine modern literature and stressed oral, magazine, and current events work.
