Led by the passing of Junior quarterback Wayne Twitchell and the rushing of Senior Mark Waletich and Junior Rob Lamb, the team had an outstanding season. Exhibiting high team spirit, the Trojans tromped all of their opponents except Jef- ferson, who held them to a 7-7 tie, and Charging through the victory hoop, the Trojans enter the field in their first home game. Grant, who squeezed by 14-13 to capture the league pennant. Twitchell and Waletich together accounted for almost 1500 yards gained. Twitchell completed 58 out of 122 attempted passes for a total of 960 yards gained. Nine of his passes counted for touchdowns. Waletich made 510 yards rushing in 102 carries for a five-yard average. He also received 14 passes for 177 yards gained.

Powder Puff Panic Spectators who braved a rainstorm to sit through Wilson’s annual Powder Puff game this year were not disappointed. Although they may have lacked the size and skill needed by varsity players, the Junior and Senior girls had more than enoungh enthusiasm to make the game exciting. Cheered by an all-boy rally squad and feted at half-time by the Trojohns, the teams struggled to a 0-0 tie. Except for the three last-minute runs by Juniors Betty Reynolds, Chris Sullivan, and Sue Whitlock, most of the game was played within fifteen yards of the 50-yard line. Both teams executed their plays well, but neither team could break through the other’s defense. Senior Dolly Boals and teammate seem confused by the manly sport of football. Junior Coach Art Bush gives a piece of his mind to This charming group expects to go Sally Merrill who seems to need it. professional next year! se
