SENIOR CLASB HISTORY SIXTEEN MEMBERS ENROLLED IN OUR GLASS AS FRESHMEN IN I945-46. WE HAD A LOT OF FUN AS BEGINNERS-JNE REMEMBER MOST THE wEINER ROAST ON THE BASEBALL DIAMOND. OUR QUEEN WAS STELLA ROANE, OUR KING, MONROE BURGESS. BEFORE AND DURING ITS SOPHOMORE YEAR, OUR CLASS LOST SIX STUDENTS: REBA MCMANUS, NEIL AND GLADYS KLIMEK, STELLA ROANE, BETTY ANDREWS, AND NADINE WILBURN, wHO MOVED AWAYQ GEORGIA CARDER, DAVID BEEN AND LATHA HUBBS FOR WHOM WEDDING BELLS RANGQ MONROE BURGESSQ AND WESLEY BEAR wHO JOINED THE ARMY.OUR QUEEN WAS VIRGINIA JACKSON, OUR KING, BILLY JOE MILLIGANB IN OUR JUNIOR YEAR WE GAINED ROWETTA JOHN- SON,FRANCES LITTLE, AND EVERETT PREVETT. WE SPONSORED THE BANQUETQAND GAVE THE PLAYWTHE Ex- GLUSIVE BACHELORON THAT YEAR OUR CLASS OF EIGHT HELD ALL EXCEPT TWO fANNUAL KING AND 4-H SEGRE- TARYJ OF ALL OF THE HIGH SCHOOL'S HIGHEST ELEG- TIvE OFFICES. EVERETT PREVETT AND BONNIE WILSON wON THE CARNIVAL KING AND QUEEN CONTESTQROWETTA WAS ANNUAL QUEEN.DURLEY PARKINSON WAS 4-H PRES- IDENT, VIRGINIA WAS BASKETBALL CAPTAIN,AND ME- LISSIE WAS C0-CAPTAIN. BILLY JOE WAS CAPTAIN OF THE BOYS. OUR CLASS TRIP WAS AN OVERNIGHT Ex- CURSION TO TULSA., A AS SENIORS WE ARE ENJOYING OUR POSITION OF SUPERIORITY. AS EVERETT, BILLY JOE AND FRANCES DID NOT COME BACK T0 SCHOOL, WE ARE A GLASS OF FIVE GIRLSB WE PLAN A HSUPERU TRIP AFTER SCHOOL IS OUT,BUT THE ANNUAL WILL ALREADY BE PUBLISHED THENB OUR CLASS PLAY IS HHER STEP-HUSBAND.H WE wON THE QUEEN RAGE AGAIN, ELEOTING THADEST MAR- TIN KBORROWED FROM THE JUNIORSJ AND ROWETTAT JOHNSON.
