Seated Myrna MaeB1akes1ee treasurer Ke1thBarrett president Andy Mmarlk v1ce prestdent Jean Derey secretary Standlng Studentcounctlrepresentatlves R1chardBrdd1nger Mary Pung Nancy Reed and Alan Baker Now that lt 1S almost the end of school and before we rece1ve our d1plomas we w1sh to cast one last furt1ve glance at the past The Class of '54 has had a grand and glor1ous h1gh school tenure Some of us were here as exghth graders the year when we were constantly underfoot at dances athlet1c contests and class changes Al though we led all other classes m the magaz1ne campa1gn that year w weren't too popular w1th the upperclassmen In 1951 the rural members of our class Jomed us We recall that they were somewhat confused and terr1f1ed 1n the b1g school ' By the t1me of the freshman 1n1t1at1on they were no longer outs1ders We put up a un1ted front' As sophomores we contmued h1gh school wrth the feel1ng that we be longed A hayr1de and Chrtstmas Carol1ng party topped all other class part1es The most talked about J Hop m the h1story of Rodney B was staged by us when we were Jun1ors Wmth our gym transformed to a blue world we danced w1th our sen1or guests to the Rhapsody m Blue theme The Jumor presentat1on, ' We Shook the Fam1ly Tree rece1ved many laughs from near capacrty audxences both n1ghts Our sen1or class suffered a temporary set back when lt was an nounced that sen1or tr1ps would be d1scont1nued However the class re bounded wlth enthus1asm and staged a very colorful homecom1ng We carr1ed out the theme C1nderella Ball' 1n the floats and gym deco t1ons Our sen1or play If Mother Only Knew' brought downthe house at t1mes Our sen1or banquet and prom were the f1tt1ng cl1rnax to our h1gh school social whlrl. Now that we face the future, we know that we're l1ttle fxsh 1n a b1g pond , but we grew 1n stature, knowledge, and strength.
