To promote better organization, the officers and members of French Club alternated planning sessions with the regular meetings. Several mem- bers met with the officers every month to plan and rehearse the program for the next meeting. Entertainment at the monthly meetings included reports on French writers, painters, and musicians as well as skits and French songs. Catherine Collet, a French exchange student, visited the club at the December meeting and spoke to the members in her native language. She compared life in America and France and surprised the members by stating that American boys are more polite than French garcons.
