Our Hearts Were Young and Gay , a whimsical adventure of two teenage girls crossing the Atlantic alone, was presented by the speech department. The story is an auto- biography of the authors, Emily Kimbrough and Cornelia Otis Skin- ner, played by Marlene Hoffman and Barb Quimby. Particularly ex- citing points of the story came with the drowning of Gordon Farley and explosion of a gas meter. The play was one of the most suc- cessful ever presented at Wilson.
