Catch Our Explosion? We re sure many of you are wondering why in the world the annual staff chose such a wild looking cover. Why is Catch Our Explosion printed on the cover? Did the annual staff blow up so many balloons that they lost touch with reality and are planning to blow NOT PLAN TO BLOW UP THE SCHOOL! up the school? We'd like to take this space to explain our reasons for the cover and title choice, but first let us assure you of one thing. WE DO One of the first decisions the annual staff makes is on the theme for the annual. The theme chosen should reflect the general feeling and attitude of the student body. After much discussion it was agreed that we wanted this annual to reflect the feeling of optimism we all had about the future of our school. We wanted everyone to look at us and see that slowly but surely we are building up our school and that we are excited about what is happening in our school. In other words, we want you to Catch Our Explosion. Why did we choose the wild looking cover? We will be the first to admit that our cover is not pretty in any sense of the word, but we feel that it accomplishes our purpose. It grabs your attention so that we can say — KEEP YOUR EYES ON US AND CATCH OUR EXPLOSION. At far left Melanie Hale is giving it all she can while marching with the band in the Wilson Christmas Parade. At left Seniors Sheri Klinger and Sheila Holloway savor their friendship, knowing that graduation marks the end of their carefree school years and the beginning of their adult life. It was just one of those days. These firemen weren't expecting to have to push their firetruck through the Wilson Christmas Parade. Tommy Thompson, Mike Chapman. Billy Shaw, Chris Sud-derth. Gary Guthrie, Tony Wharton and Ronnie Stearns are looking forward to wearing the black and gold of the Wilson Eagles. 5
