Text from Pages 1 - 144 of the 1975 volume:

In unity our spirit grows We walk as one today As one we lift our voices In unison we say: Hail! Hail! Wilson High. You're spirited and true We proudly lift our voices In praise to you Our hearts beat loyally; Our memories are bright. May you. our Alma Mater, be A shrine of living light. As life goes by it is like a sea With its silent tides bringing and taking people. But there are those who shall be with us always. We have met such a person, whose memory shall linger with us forever. He had the ability to strive for a goal. He encouraged others to maintain the best in life With his kindness and thoughtfulness for the students and teachers. For the short time he was with us we all grew to love and appreciate him. With this love and appreciation We. the Annual Staff, proudly dedicate the 75 Eagle in memory of Mr. Emerson Hyman. 3 The deadly silence seems abnormal The usual hum of voices Along with the clatter of books. Rustling of paper, Footsteps stomping loudly. Pencil sharpeners grinding. Sighs of boredom, Eager chatter of the latest gossip They are not here. I sit silently, alone. The stillness of the quiet room Which should be overflowing with life, With laughter, with learning and is not, This thought frightens me. Wait, what do I hear? The sound of voices and footsteps. They flow into the room As quickly as they went out. Like the tides of the oceans they bring new life, New discoveries, new hunger for knowledge. Then a bell pierces the air And once again the tide drifts out. I wonder what would happen if one day no tide Of eager young minds came flowing in the Room for knowledge. And once again the deadly silence Should settle over the room. Never again would the invigorating tide of Life flow. There would only linger memories Yet in time. They too would be erased. 5 Kathy Pruett Editor Susie Stewart Asst. Editor Mrs. Roberts Sponsor Bobby Willis Photographer Ricky Way Asst. Photographer Jimmy Oilliam Classes Gail Davis Asst.
