Oklahoma FOREWORD Our high school days are filled with cherished memories. Some, you will remember better than others, such as that important game you wanted so much to win, all these twins in high school, the classes, lunch in the cafeteria, parties and trips, the thrill of being a senior, and at last the wonderful feeling of accomplishment. V. Large and Clint Alexander. These are two of the most popular men in the school system. We hold them both as long-time friends. In the elementary school, Mr. Large not only performs the duties his job calls for but takes time out to be a friend to all the children. We congratulate Mr. Large on his fourteen years of faithful service to the school. We will miss him next year in the cafeteria, but know he will be enjoying his retirement. In the high school, dances, pep rallies, assemblies and games are but a few of the activities that involve the services of Clint Alexander, an untiring and patient man, who has put first, above all things, the school and the people within it. Three girls and three boys in each of nine categories were nominated. The faculty then cast its vote for the final choice. After the ballots were counted, a run-off had to be held in three categories, but finally winners were certified. It was rather fun to watch as each candidate tried to impress the voters with is or her qualifications. Fame and popularity certainly take a lot of one's time. The chapter has been represented at national meetings in the last nine years. Several subdistrict offices have been held by local members. They have attended many contests in which they honored their school by being chosen the most Outstanding Band in the Duncan Christmas Parade. No matter where the football team traveled, you could always depend on the band being there. Ray D. Fletcher, our director, has a few moments of fun with his students. This is our Drum Major and Drum Majorette in action. The band wouldn’t have been much without them.
