£,ie He tt zn4f. 'Pnatcifoa The demands of the schools of today ate greater than ever before. The lives and the destinies of so many are held in the hands of so few that we must have strong educational and spiritual guidance to divert from the subconscious feelings of hopelessness. Our gifted children are a tremendous resource, potentially the thinkers and do'ers of tomorrow. We must utilize their developing talents and energies and provide an educational atmosphere in which every student may develop to the extent of their effort and ability. The school of today needs the support of every parent. It needs the knowledge, skill, and practical common sense of every teacher and administrator in the service. J. Wesley Hull, Principal South Ward Elementary School

Plans begun years ago now have come to completion. Friendships found earlier become deeper as the time for separation draws near. Seen in the perspective of graduation all activities have a meaning which they formerly did not have. May this year bring all of you the joy you anticipated into success for which you have worked. As you move out into the life you have planned, may you have the satisfaction that comes from a job well done. 1962 - The end of an era full of growth for you and the beginning of a life of independence and creativity.
