SUPERINTENDENT'S MESSAGE Some time ago one of my Rotarian friends leaned across the table and asked me, What is the strongest point in our school? Is it buildings, curriculum, qualified teachers, professionalism - if none of these, what is it? It was some time before I could adequately answer him. But the question remained with me and I have thought a great deal about it. Buildings: not adequate, but warm, comfortable, and paid for; Curriculum: North Central and State accredited for thirty-four (34) units, over twice the number required for graduation. On our teaching staff we have ten (10) teachers with Master's degrees. All our teachers have Bachelor's degrees, and practically all teachers haveattended school andmade extra college hours during the past two or three years; Professionalism: our faculty has one hundred percent (100° o) membership in the Oklahoma Education Association and National Education Association-membership in the Oilfield Classroom Teachers' Association. Delta Kappa Gamma, and Schoolmasters' Club-our Board of Education is a member of the Oklahoma State School Board Association and Oklahoma Commission on Educational Administration. All of these things are very fine and above average for a school our size. But I believe that the strongest point in our school is the spiritual depth of our teachers and students of the school. Each morning we hear over our inter-corn system, We are now ready for our morning devotion. This devotion, given each morning entirely by students before classes are begun, is a very important part of our school life. If we are always able to begin each day with a morning devotion, we will be able to lead successful lives and render many needed services to those around us as we live and work in God's world. H. D. Gound

HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL Dear YEARBOOK STAFF: Just as the annual is dedicated to the school, the school is dedicated to impart wisdom and understanding to the boys and girls of this community. Life is the shortest thing on earth. The past is gone forever and the future is yet to come. The moment that we live now will govern what our future will be. So make the best of each moment to get wisdom to guide you in the future. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom; and with all thy getting get understanding. Prov. 4:7
