To the Annual Staff: Thank you for the invitation to write a letter in the 1951-52 Eagle's Voice. Each year the Eagle's Voice has become better. This is because the school spirit and loyalty challenge each of us to do a better job with each opportunity that we have. In your later years you will have many things to cherish but none of them will equal the memories of your school days, your school teachers, and your school friends. That is why it is important that your annual, the Book of Memories, be the best that each of you can make it. Not all of the fine things accomplished by you and the teachers will go into this annual. Perhaps there would not be room to list all of the things accomplished. But I would like to say through the Eagle's Voice that it has been a good year, and thank you to a very splendid student body. I would also like to express appreciation to our Board of Education, faculty, and other school employees; also, to the PTA and other organizations, parents, and Datrons who have shown such willingness in helping to build the school into a place of more opportunity and challenge for you, the citizens of tomorrow. Sincerely, H. D. Gound

To the citizens of our town: because of their interest and understanding in the children of today; their willingness to give when called upon; their desire to make our school and town a better one; and their loyalty; we, the students of Wilson High, gratefully dedicate our annual.

HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE As we look back over the 19 1 - 52 school year at the Wilson School, we realize how little or maybe how much we have put into our work. So is it in life. Honest and sincere work is an important stepping stone to happiness and success in school. May all of your days be happy and successful and all of your efforts be honest and sincere. ELEMENTARY PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE The school is for the students. Everything done at school should have the student in mind. If the things we hope for are to be accomplished, the ideas must be put into effect by the students, teachers, and parents. Progress comes through growth and growth requires experiences. These experiences must be real and first hand, for the child lives largely in the here and now. The elementary school should be a place where the school and home merge so that parents and teachers can meet for the purpose of mutual understanding. Our aim is to make our school a community center, because' we are striving to bring the welfare of the individual and that of the community into closer harmony.
