msm ■ djui s itmuut VI 10 UOtVM 100HDS HO Hi NOSIHTi 'T)ecUc tl0tl Because of his high ideals for the better things of life; because of his efforts to pass these ideals on to our students; and because we appreciate what he has done for us, we dedicate the 1949 “Eagle’s Voice ” to Mr. H. D. Gound Superintendent of Wilson Public Schools ADM 1N1STftylTlON SUPERINTENDENT I wish to thank the annual staff and their sponsors for their splendid work in preparing our 1943-1949 Eagle1 s Voice . Their work exemplifies the high standard of achievement loyalty and cooperation of our faculty, student body, and community in building a better and more democratic school. Wilson is an ideal place for a school. Our Board of Education and our Parent Teachers Association are working continually for a better school. With so much state and national emphasis on good schools in this present age, I am sure that our community will not fail to provide the best educational facilities for the younger generations. H. D. Gound met ffltlsort JHtglj J. W. DUNCAN, PRINCIPAL May I express my appreciation for the untiring work done by Mrs. Jones, the sponsor, and the Annual Staff in making this annual possible. To be able to work together in a Democracy is one of the highest achievements man can attain. To be able to work together as students and teachers is a great step toward that goal. Let us sincerely hope and pray that the nations of our time can do likewise. The parents of Wilson School should be proud of a swell group of students. May the students in the community of tomorrow strive to gain correct habits, ideals, and attitudes now. J . W. Duncan Wilson School Board O. L. Forbess, Roy Hanna, J. L. Pfeffer, A. N.
