4-H CLUB The Wilson senior 4-H Club has a membership of about 40 members. The new year was organized with Shirley Johnson as president; Patsy Johnson, vice-president; Ollie Segroves, secretary;Clark Forbess, treasurer;Claudetta Hand, reporter; Pauline Stearns, song leader. The year's great event for us was the selection of our president, Shirley Johnson, as national health winner, at the national 4 H Congress in December. Shirley brought an honor to her club, town, county, and state. At the county fair in September we won first place with our booth and many individuals ribbons and money prizes. On Achievement Day in February,Shirley Johnson was re-elected county president and Patsy Johnson, vice - president. Shirley received the Minnie B Church trophy cup for the most outstanding 4 H club girl in the county, as well as a lovely medal for her work in a state dairy food preparation contest. Our girls receiving medals from the dress review were Patsy Chambers, Claudetta Hand, Ora Mae Adams, Shirley Johnson, Patsy Johnson, and Joyce Bates.
