M? 1' I G. A. A. ACTIVITIES G. A. A. held their first initiation Monday, February I7, at 7:00, in the Wilson high gym. To be eligible to join the Girls' Athletic Association the initiate had to earn one hundred points by intramural sports or some outside activity. Five points an hour are given for supervised sports and four for unsupervised. Day before initiation and the day following all who were to be initiated were required to wear G. A. A. written across their foreheads in red and carry some sort of sports equipment with them. They were warned if they did not meet these rules they would be punished. The initiates made their journey through the traditional hot alley composed of G. A. A. members. They all took this with smiling faces?l? Following this a candlelight ceremony was held and refreshments were served. The successfulness of G. A. A. can be shown by the long list of members for l946 and IQ47 which follows.
