Point of information directed to the speaker! hDo you yield? HYes. replied Laura Woodrum, French delegate, as she fielded a barrage of questions from the Russian delegate. This is the lingo Model U.N. delegates must use just to ask a simple question. Each delegate represented a specific country which they studied in detail. Their countryts political, economic, security, and social status had to be thoroughly researched. The infor- mation was hard to keep track of The Model U.N. group is preparing to leave for a convention at Chapel Hill for three days e not for three weeks as their luggage suggests. Model U.N. officers Christy Lyons, Secretary; John Duffie, Vice President; Rob Heller, President; Taylor Davis, Treasurer. 54 e Model UN since current events are constantly changing. A sharp mind for na- tional events was an extra edge in representing a country. Model U.N. was not all -work though. Delegates had time after the committee meetings to explore the towns that hosted the conventions. Along with their advisor Mrs. Billman, students had time to eat at interesting places, attend socials and shop in the university stores. The Model U.N. was an educa- tional adventure into the complex world of national politics.

gteat treat during the year for the students and faculty was the Carolina Alive performance. bonus director Mrs. Patti Croft plays the piano for a violin number as Deidre Morris and Mrs. Pat Fidler listen lntently. Singing a Song Last year, Six Flags Over Georgia; this year, Nashville, Tennessee; next year, the world! The Wilson Hall chorus, under the direction of Mrs. Patti Croft, were headed off into the horizons, entertaining different peo. ple, gaining more experience. A new addition was added to the chorus this year: the Wilson Hall Show Choir. This group of talented singers, consisting of nine girls, danced and harmonized their voices together in creative performances. The chorus had many money- making projects that helped the students pay for their trips. The Fashion Show and the Soap Star Ex- travaganza were two of the main pro- jects that provided the students with spending money. The Junior High Chorus and the Senior High Chorus begin anew each year, but they are forever growing, forever learning and forever charming the world with their unique and talented voices.
