Freshman girls take time after school to decorate their wall for the Homecoming Dance. Waiting for Coach McCord to come and buy his daily Froz Fruit, Elizabeth Shaw and Ashley Alessandro talk of something amusing. The E.R.A. suffered a heavy blow when all the Student Council offices elected were men. The Executive Council, along with faculty advisor Coach Chuck McCord, led a great Student Council that was involved in many new and traditional projects. The club was in charge of Froz Fruit sales, the morning devo- tions and announcements, and a talent show. Tricia Lee and Darren Rhodes were also members of the State Stu- dent Council. One new idea was having all of the class officers involved in the Council instead of limiting it to just class presidents and representatives as in the past. Secondly, the Homecoming Dance had a new twist. The Upper School was in charge of the decor of the gym as each grade adorned a wall according to the theme uParty all the time. The way they participated in that event showed that Sophomores, along with the rest of the school, really did know how to party. As Candler Lowder said, uThe Stu- dent Council is an organization that allows the students to get involved in school activities and I enjoy being a part of that. Student Council - 45
