S - Spirit P - Pushing I - Insisting R - Rolling I - Increasing T - Trembling SPIRIT! an essential part of Wilson Hallis athletic program. The immense support of fans and cheerleaders alike was often a deciding factor in Wilson Hall vic- tories. Pep rallies offered an ideal opportunity for the student body as well as the players to get fired up! The cheerleaders, a team in game. lower school spirit comes alive. W 7W 75M their own right, enthusiastically screamed chants and performed complicated stunts to get everyone psyched up for the big game. Amusing skits such as WI'he Car and uSquat Bodiesfi executed by the cheerleaders provided a humorous atmosphere at pep rallies. Hallway pep rallies were an exciting addition to the normal routine of classes. Every pep rally was concluded on an uplifting note with everyone singing the Wilson Hall fight song and alma mater. Mrs. Aragon gets a big squeeze from David Capriotti in his excitement before the Always a tradition at pep rallies, the Spirit and enthusiasm are clearly ap- parent as the freshmen cheer at a pep rally. Can you guess who these masked men are? The varsity football cheerleaders perform an unusual skit for the audience. Amy Hatfield and Leigh Edmunds enjoy their chance to lead the students in a cheer. Raising spirit is the football cheerleaderst job, and one way they try doing this is by competi- tion between the grades. 32 - Pep Rallies x The young. enthusiastic kindergarten students enjoy the pep rally while Mrs. Bar- tholoma watches the activities, A touch of humor is added to a pep rally by Becki Smith and Sandy Strickland while Kaye Squires and Mimi Felder watch the antics on the floor.

Ready to scare anyone foolish enough to enter the Senior haunted house are Becca Driggers, the ghostly ghost, and Chelle Wingate, the snakewoman. lid, to the camera In their new wavelpunk costumes. Meredith Nock, Molly Simpson, and Jen- nifer Young stop having fun at the Fall Festival and give three beaming smiles. 34 a Fall Festival Oscar the Grouch. alias Michael Svetlik, bashfully tips his hat, excuse me, trash can Km' W 0651!! Smiling faces, wild costumes, and playful laughter ran rampant on Halloween night at the Fall Festival. Children of all ages thronged to the gamebooths where they could win anything from goldfish to bottles of Coca- Cola. In the far corner of the gym mysterious noises emanated from the haunted house frightening some youngsters and arousing curiosity in others. With the help of parents, faculty and students, the Halloween car- nival was a wonderful success even though the rain dampened some of the outdoor activities. The General StorelCrafts booth was a favorite among the adults. The costume contest was an opportunity for everyone to show off the creativity and hard work that they had put in- to the brilliant array of costumes. But most importantly, it was kids, night out, and they were the ones who would remember the ghosts, goblins, and sticky candy fingers.
