The sound of the 2:00 bell brought to stu- dentts minds thoughts of various extracurricular ac- tivities which broke the monotony of school life. In the afternoons, dance students slipped on their leg-warmers and tap shoes and headed to the studio for hours of stren- uous but invigorating exercise. Various melodies were heard throughout the homes of dedicated music students as they devoted their free time to practice. After-school jobs pro- vided ways to earn money and learn business skills useful in later life. Extracurricular ac- tivities enrich our lives by pro- viding a chance to excel in dif- ferent areas.
