inderiarten I tried to squeeze my 12th grade body into a kindergartener s desk Sud- denly, I realized just what kindergarten was. Gone was the illusion that kindergarten had been one big recess with breaks to eat lunch and have show and tell. Memories of carefree hours of storytelling and coloring were replaced by what I discovered was actually hap- pening. We were learning. Do you remember having your name taped to your desk?
