The coaches, Mr. Mar Haley and Mr. Mark Roach, reali that fun was also an important part the game and inspired each player achieve his very best. Talented Toes Who in our school do you think en- joyed bouncing balls off their heads and running around in the cold in their short pants? Why our soccer players of course! Although the team might not have had the best record, the future looked bright, as Ronald Mitchell explained, llAfter playing our first game, I think we have a lot of potential. We have a good coach and a lot of talented players. The Barons also had two other reasons to be hopeful: Deidre Morris and Tracy Adler. Why did these two try out for the team, knowing that they would be the only girls on the field? Deidre Morris said, uI like soccer and I thought it would be a new experience, however, Tracy Adler admitted, It is rough to be one of only two girls on the team. With all this talent and the guidance of Coach Zeeff, the soccer team worked hard to reach the state finals. Soccer w. 103
