Each year the pieture presented was reassuring, lt seemed that first things continued to be first and that students had appreeiated and eapitalifed the opportunity of eoni- pleting, without interruption. their eollege eourse. The queen, departing from the tradition of wearing white, wore a green gown and long white gloves and carried white Howers. Her attendant wore yellow, and the other members of the court were dressd in white with long yellow gloves, and carried spring flowers. The traditional ceremonies began with class presentations to Her Majesty. Iulie Calvert, senior class president, presented the Coronet of flowers. and Cather- ine Herr, president of the junior class the Sceptre. Ther' hid with the Lost Boys from Captain Hook. they resf eued the dark Indian princess from the Peter a elutehes of his terrible pirates, and they saved the dying Tinker Bell while Indians and pirates lurked above their tree-trunk home. Finally Captain Hook fell a prey to the eroeodile and after a jubilant may-pole danee. the Darling ehildren Hew home to their nursery and faithful dog Nana. and the audience reluetantly returned to reality. For the lfriday night informal danee the Edgar Room was converted into the deck of the pirate ship. the lolh' Roger. 'l'he theme of the freslinian-sophomore promenade Saturday night was the Shadow Ball when the stars were eaught in the tree-tops.
