PAUL SWAIN HAVENS Prcsidcnt 'SPN ZQ' iff, During my four years' absenee from Xklilson l annually seanned the pages of the Conoco- eheague to keep abreast of deyelopnients on eanipus. to note the eontinuanee of eertain aetixi- ties and the reduction or expansion of others as students and faculty endeayored to meet the exigeneies of war. Each year the pieture presented was reassuring, lt seemed that first things continued to be first and that students had appreeiated and eapitalifed the opportunity of eoni- pleting, without interruption. their eollege eourse. Nou' it is good to be baek on eainpus, to observe at firsthand life in the eollege eonnnunity. to be a part of it. ln the pages of this book the Class of lQ-+5 portrays some of the media through yyhieh the student body has transmitted knowledge into aetion in the year l0-lfuhlfl-F. Ilere is found the reeord of many hours of soeiability through yyhieh students learn to know eaeh other: between the lines one may read eyidenee of hours of solitude when study and relleetion help to make the student worth knowing. The College is indebted to the Class of VHS for their part in inaking and reeording this portion of XVilson's history. Nlay their senior year be one of distinguished aehieyement for thein and the College. NIARGAR1-:'r CR1SXX'EI.L D1s15R'1' Dean Signed my application . . .
