SEPTEMBER TWENTY-FIFTH IT is Indian summer, and the hills across the Conococheague are already putting on their gypsy colors when Wilson girls come Ioaclc, eager to start another year of study and gay companionship. Reunions, Hue cards, remnants of that summer tan, chairs being painted on the fire escapes'-these are but fleeting glimpses of those first few hectic days. For the first time the freshmen meet their new room-mates, dash off to all sorts of tests, and in a flurry of excitement try to fix up their rooms.

First the faculty, Wearing their gowns and bright-colored hoods, walk between them-then the seniors, proudly Haunting their caps and gowns for time first tirne. The juniors, the sophomores, and the freshmen, all dressed in White, follow in order. with the dig- nity and the ceremony of the Academic Procession and the first chapel service, the college opens for another Vear.
