The Class of 1988 chooses to dedicate their CREST to a man who has the special ability to encourage students to reach for the best in themselves. He began teaching at Wilson in 1969, an aficionado of world history, he completed a four-year college degree in three years. He has continued his studies through the years and is known to many as a perpetual student. The youngest in a large family, he was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. He grew to be a philosophical person, who is a fine chef as a “health nut.’’ In addition, he is a connoisseur of fine wine, a lover of the arts and music, and a well-traveled man. At Wilson, he serves as the advisor to the Student Council. He and his wife Marie Therese live on East Lake Road in Wilson. Although there is a tendency to mistake his quiet manner and shyness for other traits, he is at heart a warm, kind, and giving person. The Class of 1988 dedicates their CREST to Mr. Anthony Frieri.
