Mr. Jack Terry Superintendent To the Members of the Class of 1972: I believe your yearbook theme. We Only Just Begun , is quite pertinent for a Senior Class to choose. As young adults, starting out into this complicated world, each of you will find that he has only just begun in many ways. You have just begun to live your life. On the average, most of you have about 50 years yet to live. Thus, for each year you have lived you have about four remaining. Live them with pride, preparation and purpose. You have just begun to make your friends. Even though you have many friends now in and out of school, you will find that there are many, many more to be made during the remainder of your life. Remember, the only way to have a friend is to be one. You have just begun your education and preparation for life. It doesn't matter if you are to continue a formal education or if you are to educate yourself, as you will continue to learn each day for the rest of your life. One is never too old to learn more about himself, his society and the world in which he lives. You have just begun solving the many problems and making the decisions that each individual must face during his life time. Don't follow the crowd. Make your own decisions carefully and dare to be different if it is necessary. I hope that your years of schooling have helped you form the proper habits and attitudes which you will need for a worthwhile and successful future. Even though you have just begun”, your future will be only as good as you care to make it. Continue the good things you have just begun and dispose of those which are of no value to you. In their place establish daily, additional desirable traits which will help you finish satisfactorily the life you have just begun .
