CARRIE MARTIN A deep understanding of human nature,--an invin cible determination,--a spark of ready wit,--and a chuckle when you least expect it,--these are the win- ning characteristics of Mrs. Carrie Martin, teacher, friend and companion. For thirty-seven years her love of people, sound judgment, and sincerity were felt by the students and faculty alike, in the commun- ity of Wilson. It is with the deepest pride and admiration that we dedicate the 1947 Crest to Mrs. Carrie Martin. She will never be replaced in the memories of those who have had the honor and privilege of knowing her. 3
