CLHSS PUHH Remember in September In the Fall of '43 When we started out as Freshies just as dumb as we could be? The teacher seemed to notice it And pointed out to us She'd taught some pretty stupid ones But we were stupid plus. But we struggled through that Freshman year And now we had attained The thrill of being sophomores But still the juniors reigned. We overcame that little thing In the passing of that year And now that we were juniors Our better days were here Those days went all too quickly And just like overnight We donned the role of seniors Graduation was in sight. Our senior play made success Our concerts, and each game Spurred Wilson on to better things And the seniors on to fame. Yes, we've had fun and hardships And we will miss it all But we are getting older, and A supple future calls. But, before we yield to future's calls We'd like to say goodbye As we depart from the silenced halls Of 'dear old central high. It's this time of graduation And excitement of that day That brings thoughts of parting classmates As we each go on our way. So we thank you Mrs. Singer And Sergeant Richardson For the patient helpful guidance And the good work that You've done. We'll cherish every friendship With each girl and every boy We'll treasure every memory Of our school days filled with joy. We'll hold in very high esteem The colors, silver, soft and clear And maroon, it's bright companion For this forty-seven year. Our motto: Ever onward - The World As Our Teacher Will stay in our heart as a silent pledge And rule our life's procedure. Half of our heavy task is done We speak but a word of sorrow As we say farewell to Wilson High And turn to meet tomorrow. E. Main 12
