OUR CLASS On the steamship '42, We seniors leave our past, To find we're finally through Now, what to do we ask? We have had a joyous crew Led by our able captain, But without our grand advisers We wonder what would've happened. Captain Manning has steered us through We find the ship is anchored. Jean Kinsella was our financeer, We really ought to thank her. Now Marty has been a first class mate To help us reach our goalg Don Ossman did his best to rate The seniors' urgent call. For Dora I-Ieidenfeldt we choose the stage, Such talent has no other, Howard Hunter to be her page Until he gets on further. Jeannette Donner with her friendly smile, Has kept our tickets flowing, And all along the while Marge Oliphant has kept them rolling. Sandy Holman in history class Eating his jelly beans, Did to the office pass Following the heels of Miss Dehn. Pete Mann in the Senior Play Chose Ellen for his Kitty , I wonder what Bud could say To make this such a ditty. Marvin Frederickson came to us To square dance, he's a dandy, He clicks his heels and makes a fuss But all he needs is Blanche Handy. Peg Eaton with her Bow en arrow Is quite a sight to see, Cy Ingraham with his loftiness Makes you jump for glee. Jim Campbell with his saxophone And Janet with her clarinet, Would make quite a musical home Just that, you can bet. Jean Carrigan with her Joe ing places Is a problem to the talker, As are the striding paces Of the flying Phyllis Walker. Among our ,many shipmates, There is the short and tall, Marian Harris and Helen Flagler Are the short and the tall of us all. Daddy Mains with his jumpin' jive Can sing and swing and jazz it too, Bruce Wilson can keep 'em alive Withclgs beat of the Chattanooga Choo oo . Betty Ann Williams is really the one Who in 1950 can still be called Dollie, But if you want to have some fun Just think of good old Ollie , Tower makes a pass at Evans While Dixie tries to face her, Their faces-oh, my heavens, Are the targets of an eraser. Arnold, Roberts and Gray, Three members of our clan Each having his own talents, Express them when they can. Clement, McCormic and Hoffman Are the babies of our class, They have to read their funny books To make the time to pass. Ray Bale with his imagination, Don Lafler with his silent jokes, Are really quite a combination To have amidst us folks. Among our willing helpers We find so many hands, Austin, Figura, Reese, and Truesdell Fulfilling our demands. Grzybowski, Bradley, Schuman and Rohring Are the more silent of our crew, We wonder what their thoughts would be If they really came out and blew. Isabel Brown and Lucille Bradley Are the best of buddies, They talk and laugh in study halls We wonder if it's studies. Freatman, Lederhouse, Baney and Myers Are the homemakers of our ship, They can read a book, while being a cook Yet never make a slip. Ruth Schulze and Frances Tillotson Are quiet and thoughtful girls, Like the Smiths and Sidney Pettit They seem to have no quarrels. Bergemann, Clarke and Urtel Three retiring senior members, Are really three grand girls Who should always be remembered.
