We will always remember and cherish your constant efforts to improve our lives. Through your teaching of Lat- in, you gave us an understanding of great civilizations of the past which formed the foundation for our modern world, the world we are now entering to find our destinies. You showed us an art of communication in a different manner than that to which we were accustomed, an art which many of us will use to benefit ourselves and others. As a class advisor, you have demonstrated the leadership and wisdom we will need to improve the country and the world. For these standards of greatness, we, with much love, would like to thank you, Miss McHugh. Please continue to educate youth as you did us, for we all need new and excellent leaders, as you are and always will be. ,,,,,g! ' ---5 - 7 '..T- -',.'.ff-r iv- , 1 . , 4 L N... . But there remain a few solitary sports in which the individual is stressed and an athlete gets to prove his worth alone. Track is one of these sports. The Senior High Chorus, the 9th Grade B. R. B.'s, and the Wilsonaires have, through their fine voices, brought everyone together, for which they deserve our thanks and congratulations. LAUER MIDDLE SCHOOL The Wilson Area School District had the recent honor and privilege of dedicating its new middle school to Philip E. Lauer-a man who has served as an active member of the Wilson Area School Board for 24 yearsg and who has served as an active member of the County Intermediate Twenty Board for 10 years. Ground breaking for this modern structure took place in April, 1972, and completion took place in March, 1974. Presently, our middle school houses a faculty of 40 and a student body of 795, ranging from grades 5 to 8. Since a structure can never fully honor an individual for his loyal service and dedication, we will forever be indebted to Mr. Lauer who was instrumental in so many major decisions in the Wilson Area School District-especially that involving the struggle to keep Wilson a separate and independent school district.
