B SOUAD BASKETBALL The B squad plctured above Started out thus season slowly but were wunnlng almost all of theur games before the season closed Coach Bruce has every reason to be proud of their progress The A squad opposlte page dnd a flne and consustent job all season They were a scrappy crew and won many of their games on sheer courage and stamma alded by Coach Buccu s strategy Because they lacked tall players nt was necessary for them to develop fnnesse and skull In ball handllng to over come thus handncap They lost only one conference game and as a result tied wnth Mukwonago for the trtle The loss to Mukwonago was by one polnt and we returned the compliment by defeating them by one point Max Rlchter thus team s captain led all scorers In the conference wlth a total of 202 polnts to which he added 90 ln non conference games As most of the game scores are guven on the basketball spread page we are not prlntung the schedule for the season Our boys piled up a total of 611 ponnts nn I3 conference games an average of 47 per game and a total of 249 an non conference games for an average of 42 per game fnrst game to a strong Janesvllle team 47 to 68 We lost agann to Whlte water sn the consolatlon bracket to wlnd up the season without a wm at the tournament but nevertheless very proud of our record for the season The letter wrnners and their total pomts Max Rlchter Captain 9 Dan Survullas Duck Brehm Bob Meredsth Earl Hennessy Joe Komunuak John Rodus Duck Scott George Hnldebrandt l6 Duck Scott and George Hlldebrandt wull be back on the team next year wuth Dick acting as the Captain for 52 We ran into stiff competition in the tournament at Beloit and lost our ' , ' - - - 2 2 ' ---- l3O ' ---- lOO .
