A SOUAD FOOTBALL Because of a cancelled game between Unnon Grove and Wllmot the Panthers end ed the l95l season nn a deadlock for the second place wnth the Grovers Mukwonago s Indnans won the undnsputed champuonshup ln the Southeastern Wusconsnn Conference Our game wuth the Champions proved to be a see saw battle after the fnrst quarter In whnch they were able to put across two touchdowns whach proved too much ofa handccap for the Red and Whute The Panthers however were never nn danger after thus defeat as they rolled up a total score of 2l9 pomts to thelr opponents 27 Eught of those vlctory pomts were against a much publscnzed team from Elkhorn Seven Sensors and four Junuors comprused the players on the Varsity At the end posntlons Dan Survnllas and Joe Komlnlak were the regulars Bob Kommlak honorable mentuon for All State tackle and Francis Bud Mulner were unquestionably the toughest paur of tackles an the Conference and after three years of lnne play together Captain Duck Brehm and Bob Meredlth at the guard spots have won the pralse of Coaches fans and even opponents for the fine type of support which they gave to the team Ironman Ar nold Dahl played regularly at center and Earl Brauns Hennessy was Coach Buccl s robot directing the team from has quarterback positron Norm Epping at fullback played a steady game throughout the season and the scatbacks Captann elect Bob Bohn and Duck Scott were a constant threat wuth thenr sweepnng end runs Charlie Gander Myron Schultz and Malcolm Evers rounded out the remaunung lettermen Much credut must be glven to a corps of capable substitutes who contributed many a breather for the regulars We are proud to record the vuctornes agannst Elkhorn St Mary s East Troy Wat erford Walworth and Racine County Aggies nn thus resume of our Sensor year We are proud also of the fune contrlbutuon whnch our Coaches made to the success of thus team May the passung years never dum the achuevement of these Panthers and of thenr coaches Mr Buccn and Mr Bruce' l I - . - I . , , . . , . .
