O17 file Back in 1941 a storm arose. bringing in the Class of SS, At that time we thought it would be heavenly to be a Senior. but now that the big year has come l think we all regret saying such 21 thing. Let us all relax and think back about twelve years ago to all those wonderful memories we will cherish forever and ever. As the storm grew worse our class began to grow a little large. Our first few years of school kept us all pretty busy getting accustomed to our classmates. home- work. and teachers. By the time we were in the third grade. we were accustomed to school and all its connections. One thing that stands out in our minds was the day when the whole school got out to see Lassie Come Home .it our local theater. As we grew older. we stopped doing all those foolish things we used to do. lior example. the girls put away their little dollies. and tl1e l'oys did .lXK'.ly with their cap- guns, cowboy hats, etc. ln the years 19114. 'l5. and Elo, we followed .1bout the same pattern. During those years we were getting ready for the big moment when wt would enter .lunior High. XY'e had a few parties. but as usual our teacher couldnt stand many more of our little stunts. Finally when the big day came, we found ourselves changing classes with all the upper classmen. Our first big party. which took place when we were in the seventh grade. was a Backward Party. lt was held at Miss lXIcCQalmont's house. We had to wear all our clothes backward. even our shoes. Usually at .1 party you play games and then eat, But at .1 Backwards Party, you eat and then play games. After we had played all our games. we were ready to eat again. By that time Miss Nc- Calmont was glad to see the party break up. Then came the time when we graduated from junior High to High School. As freshmen, we enjoyed many activities such as scluare dancing. twirp dancing. flirting, and dating. The latter was something new and wonderful to us younguns. We then had the experience of electing our class officers. The first few days of school were very exciting because we had a new homeroom teacher, Mr. Byler. ln- cidently he hasnt been able to get rid of us since then. On becoming sophomores we all were under tl1e impression that we were something until our initiation into Senior High. Then we were tamed down a TWENTY-TWO
