DedfecCttiOto We, the Class of 1980, wish to dedicate this yearbook to the loving memory of a special person, Steve Whitney, who was a classmate and most of all a dear and close friend. When her students think of Mrs. Sayward’s class, they all remember studying for that big test at the end of the year. In order to get a perfect grade, we had to know all 50 states and all their capitols. She has given all her pupils memories that they will always cherish, and we wish her all the best in the years to come. 6 7 (Cuufe ig ttew Back Row: J. P Mason, A MacDougal. S. Here's what we think our class will be doing: Some of us have prosperous businesses: Dean R. and Scott F. own rival hardware stores. Jerry P. owns five gas stations in the area where gas is currently $5.00 a gallon and Jay M. works as his chief mechanic. Anthony D. owns the North End where Karen M. tends bar. Jan C. owns the new Bayview Hotel. Timmy L. is president of Bacardi Inc. and Monica S. is his private secretary. Dwight R. and Tommy W. own Agway Wrecking Service. John S. and Jim B. own the Village House. Tammy S. has her own babysitting service. Vicki P. runs the first Mobile Beauty Salon in Hawaii with Nancy C. working the N Y. branch. Paul W. owns the Bert and Ernie Logging Co. Sue M. has her own construction company that is trying to get California out of the Pacific. Dawn P. and Debbie K. own 3-D Designs” and have redecorated each business to suit their owner. Some of us are famous: Tom F„ Mike C., Russel M., Clinton Y., Matt B., and Bill F. are responsible for making the Green Shack” a national shrine. Jane O. is the accountant for Chrysler Corp. Dan L. and Robert A. have just announced their merger of IBM and Texas Instruments. Steve F. has just won his third Boston Marathon. Jeff M. and Claudia H. are famous defense lawyers with Trooper Judi M. supplying them with clients. Glenn S. was just elected Mayor of Whallonsburgh. Lori M. is the proud mother of an Olympic speed skating gold medalist. Some of us are still around town: Laura L. and John M. have taken over Mr. and Mrs. Lopez's teaching positions. Laurie B. and Regina H. are teacher's aides for Mr. Jones. Scott R. is head chef in the school cafeteria and Dan S. also works at W.C.S. as head janitor. Joe M. and Eric M. are electricians and Drew R. and Glen Y. are carpenters. Dian B. is the manager of Magrames Willsboro Store. John Cross has once again “slipped his mind” but is recovering nicely in Florida. Liz M. has taken over Mrs. Allen as town librarian. Peggy C. and Valerie B. are rival head nurses at CVPH. Dave M. and John Cahill are AWOL when their platoon was stationed in Iran. Mike P. is a ski bum in Vail, Colo. Nancy B. and Dianne B. are each married and have 5 kids. Cathy B. and Mary Jane T. are residents of Buena Vista and are still complaining about teenage beach parties. John A. is an author and is currently writing about his wild life. Terry D. is raising horses in Reber Stables and Jeff W. is riding into the sunset on his motorcycle. On a sadder note: The FBI is still looking for Mr. Stone who was lost in Washington D.C. during the senior trip. Mrs. Sodaro has repeating nightmares of yearbooks attacking her. 59 1st Row: Mr Williams, S. McClure. C. Foley. L. Morse. D Farrar, C. Stephenson, E. Fine, D. Clark. L. Perry, D. Stephenson, J. HigMiglck ofathb 2kL Gr c ymnbook Fall Field Trip We planned to go to Ausable Point and Poke-O-Moonshine Mt. Mrs. M. Walker's class went with us. We took bus 24. (Dwight, Chris) We saw lots and lots of signs, real green trees and green grass. There were different kinds of houses like brick, wood, and stone (Jerry Pierce). We crossed Ausable Chasm. A deep gorge cut into the rocks by the river. Ausable Point is a sandy beach by Lake Champlain. There were large marshes where the river empties into the lake. At Poke-O-Moonshine we ate our lunches and climbed up part way. There was this stone like a fort. Then we walked back to the bus and went back to school (Laura Lacey). Parents Day We decided what country to study. After we picked our country we studied for about two weeks. We moved our desks so we could have enough room to set up our displays. We gave parents all kinds of times when they could come. When they came we showed them where to go. The kids on Japan served tea and cookies. It was fun. Our Own Filmstrip First we read a story. We decided which scenes to draw and who would be the artist. The pictures were shown in order and we recorded the story as each of us told our own part. Fish Hatchery at Crown Point Center Pools and Tanks of fish from tiny ones to very large fish. They were black, brown, and rainbow Trout and Salmon. (Jan Choate) Crown Point Reservation We ate lunch at this beautiful place where the water was nice. Some people waded in the water but we didn’t have time. (Laurie Coonrod) 1 Oh. Michael!!
