C WS PiOph Cy The year is 1972. The place is New York City. JOHN KIEHL, internationally famous stock car driver, is leaving with his new bride for a honeymoon in Europe. As he boards the oceanliner, he meets the captain, CLINTON BEARDSLEY, who is an old friend of his. Clint tells John that before turning to the sea for a living, he had owned a sports car shop, but that it had gone bankrupt. After the boat has set sail, dinner is served. As the galley door swings open, John happens to catch a glance of the ship's cook and he makes a beeline for her. She is another of his former schoolmates, who had gotten her start in her father's diner. She is CAROL PERKETT. John's poor wife, the new dancing disc-jockey LIZ JAMES, felt awfully lonely without John until a General in the Marine Corps caught her eye. It's TOM HALEN, who quit school in order to join the Marines. He tells Liz that he is headed for Paris where he is to meet another Marine officer, BILL HULSE. Bill and his long-time friend TOM FLORA are running a large tourist hotel where they sponsor all-night parties. They got a good beginning for this while still juniors in high school! After a long cruise, John and his wife arrive in Turkey where they meet Professor JERALD OLIVER. Poor Jerry is still trying for his driver's license - he thought it might be easier in Turkey. (No telephone poles!) He and TERESA RILEY are running a taffy factory until Terri can save enough money to buy Mather's Dairy for her husband. Upon arriving in Germany, John and Liz are happy to renew acquaintances with BOB JACKSON, who has just announced that he will accept the nomination for President in the forthcoming election. He is in Germany visiting BARBARA GOUGH. Nate is still in the service, and Barb is fast becoming the jolliest mother on the base. Also in Germany are JANE SAYWARD and Gordy Gay. Jane has just won a contest in the 50 kilometer soap box derby. (When her first license ran out in 1963, she was never allowed another. Many Americans have considered this to be a public safety measure!) She's waiting for Gordy to make a trade for his Ford. GEORGE ORI, it has been rumored, is also speaking in terms of getting rid of his '49 Plymouth. Maybe they can get together?

When they teach Poland, the couple see DARWIN CLARK and GARY CARVER who have recently expanded their farm to cover half the area of the country. Their success formula: Darwin milks the cows in tune with Gary's drumming. Their trip is now at an end. The new couple is glad to return home after their many exciting days in Europe. Reaching Willsboro, they stop at the newly remodeled, and formerly Bayless’s Restaurant. It is now owned and operated by JOANNE DOXTATER. While there, they see JANICE (SLOPER) NICHOLS and JENNY GARDNER walk past, both pushing baby carriages. Janice has just returned from a short trip to North Carolina, and poor Jenny is still worrying for fear that her baby will be bigger than she is! Just coming out of the movies is SHIRLEY McLEAN, the first usherette” of the Park Theater. Shirley was too lonely to wait any longer for Rog! After a wonderful honeymoon and a long chat with all their old friends, John and Liz retire to their $90, 000, 000 estate on the Point.
