Our activities of this enr consisted mainly of card pnrties .one , raffles. At the first meeting of the fclass during the yc.or 19S8-S9 the folic vriny officers wore ole ctor’: President, John Shanbe; Vice-President, Kenneth Mnloney; Secretory, Claudia Stafford; Treasurer, Florence Richard, During Aur Sonhonoro - ear several card parties were hold and at one of these a five dollar money doll was raffled. The nenbers of the clnss enjoyod a Christmas Party, for y hich we exchanged names in rdor to aivo each other gifts. Our Junior year found us ambitious and cnthousiastic. Mr. Lehman was eh ctred ,nS our new class advisor, John Shambo vr .s again elected President by unanimous vote. Florence Richard was elected Vice-President; Elaine Peck, Secretary; end J™Ci, Brown, Treasurer Dances clayed a prominent nrrt in our activities of this year. The music was furnishod by Lefty Girard and his Chuck ' agon Rid.ors, the High Boys, and wo had a dance in combination with the Seniors for which the Prairie Ramblers winded. ’7o also had sovoral card, parties and raffles. .in outstanding event of the year was our Junior Prom. The feature of the evening was the coronation of the uoon, Blanche Spiorto, and of the King, Richard. Flo ra, by the king and queen of tk: previous year, Virginia Kanaly and John Costin. Their attendants wore: Marjorie King, Evelyn Provost, Florence Richard, Betty Young, Richard Snear, Roger Blanchard, John Shambo, and Gordon Martin. We aided the Seniors at Graduation by decorating the gym, with the assistance of the Villsboro Garden Club. Our Senior 7roor found, us even more ambitious preparing for our Senior trio. Once again John Shambo was elected President, Elaine Peck, Vice-President; JnyCC Brown, Secretary’ and Bcn-janon Amos,Treasurer, Several dances were given with music furnished by- the Bror.cho Busters Food, sales, the sale of Christmas cards and writing paper, and. card narties were also nrominent among our activities.

V e presentee’ our piny, These Lovely Ladies , which was a financial success and nnny thanks are due Miss Lynch for her kindness and patience in directing it. Claudia Stafford as Jeanette Hobart, and John Shanbo as Panny Ashton, had the leading roles. As a clim.ax to our four vears in High School, fourteen nanbors of the Class, accompanied by Miss Lynch, Mr. Lehman, Mr. Lilly, and. Mr. Gibson, motored, to New York for Memorial Pay weok-ond. Wo left Willsboro Thursday noon and. arrived in New York that evening, Friday morning we took a tour through Rockefeller Center, which includes fourteen buildings, among them Radio City Music Hall and the R. C. A. building. We went through the Museum of Science and Industry and. attended a performance at Radio City and a Philip Morris broadcast. Saturday morning wo took a boat trip by the Statue of Liberty to Staten Island, In the afternoon we divided into groups; some visited the Aquarium, and La Guardia airport, some went shopping, and others saw Broadway plays. Several attended Church services in different Churches Sunday morning, before leaving for Willsboro early that afternoon. The class wishes to thank Mr, Lehman for advising us in our activities during the nast two -p-oars, Mr. Lilly for guiding us through our twelve years of school, and all other members of the Faculty for their assistance, especially Miss Lrnch for making our Senior play possible.
