CLASS HISTORY Ths old order changeth yielding place to the new. ,, and: thus with Commencement drawing near,, our memories of the past years; are recalled.. The Freshman class was: organized in 1935 with Mr. Van Leuvan. former history teacher as: advisor. The following officers were elected; Mary Kehce, president;- Harold Strong, vice-president; Veletia Stf'ong, secretary and James Mason, treasurer. There were thirty-seven in the class. During that year we held several food sales and started the annual and very successful Christmas food basket raffle. We aIs held a St Patrick's Day party. The outstanding event, however, was the Hallewe 1en party, a costume affair. In 1936 the class reorganized with Mr-. Van Leuvan still the advisor. This year John Costin was elected president; James; Mason, vice-president; Ruth Flora,, secretary and Harold Strong, treasurer. There were twenty-eight in the class at that time. d Juniors» now reduced to twenty-four members, the class; chose Ruth rlera, president; Donald Strong, vice-president; Elsie Rand, secretary-treasurer. Mr, Van Leuvan, who had taken another position was replaced by Mr, Driscoll as advisor. Besides several raffles, bake sales, and card parties, the class attended a Christmas party as the guests of the Seniors. On t 5r?;?‘ ® we Presented the play Melodrama in Nankipoo1’. The members of the cast were; Ruth Flora, John Costin, Donald Strong, Mary Kehoe Harold Strong, Florence Young, James Mason, Rena King, Raymond era, Shirley Boardman and Robert Adams. Mr. Driscoll directed the play. On May 20 the annual Junior Prom was held. The gymnasium was decorated in green and gold and the stage was banked with flowers. Music was furnished by Wayne Snow of Plattsburg. c, TMiS Seniors reorganized with only twenty-three mem’ .. Mp Driscoll retained his position as the faculty advisor. Row? £ross was elected president; John Costin, vice-president; Robert Reynolds, secretary-treasurer. The class sold magazines in the first part of the year. Later ® am?an£? Dann7 Wynn's music. We also held several card parties.
