Dear Burch: Too bad you couldn'+ have been here for our Freshman Receplion. The Sophomores had lhe dance lo welcome lhe Freshman class. The lheme was Hlvloonlighi Serenade which Donna Rae Mann sang for lhe lirsl dance. The gym was decoraled wilh flowers. ln lhe cenler of lhe gym was a small piclnel' fence around a scene which was a garden in 'rhe moonlighl. l'm sure everyone had a good lime. Al leasl l did! 5 Our assembly was a surprise lo all of us. ll slarled oul lo be one 'rhing and ended up anolher. The lheme was The Gay Nineliesf' Ann Miller nearly broughl down The house wilh her Lady From lvlonle Carlo. Some olher good acls were Donna Mann singing ln lhe Old Summer- lime and Elizabelh Dixon singing The Bowery. The l-lungry Five was a scream, as usual, wilh Mac lpardon lhe expressionl lvlr. McArlhur direcling il. lvlac had lo show his lalenl by wallcing across 'rhe slage on his hands. The closing number was by Sadie McKee who sang One More For My Baby in a very bluesy slyle.
