Only One in the Midwest: the Cave Exploring and Outdoor Club Willowbrook's new club is the only one of its kind in the midwestern secondary schools. It also has the largest membership in our school: one-hundred and twenty members. g Winter skiing trips, jym jams, swimming parties and the spring co-ed camping trip are among group activities besides spelunking. The monthly meetings include slide presentations, guest speakers from the Windy City Grot- to, and the added pleasure of planning future trips into the underworld. Everyone Enjoys the Leltermen's Initiation Day Lettermen's Club, while being a service organization, is mainly an honorary society. A boy may join only after earning a varsity letter and undergoing initiation. Initiation days are enjoyed by everyone, especially the lettermen. A few of the things initiates are made to do are picking up pennies, shining shoes, singing nursery rhymes, and wearing sweater and tie backwards for a day. This club, sponsored by Mr. Evans, sells programs at all home games and assists visiting teams and officials at home basketball games. The club usually sponsors a fund-raising project some time during the year.
