Marty Fuji- moto, Tom Jacobsen, Alan Trunek, Tim Wetzel, John Weaver, and Mark Weaver. 4th Year on Top! As usual, our varsity cross country team came through on top this year. The Harriers, led by Coach Jim Tyree were six and one in dual meets. Although they took on overwhelming odds in the league meet, they still took first place. The team was led by Russ Burr, Glenn Bicicchi, Alan Trunek, Tom Jacobsen, Mark Towle, Jerry Kimbrell Rich Santucci, Jim Martin, Greg Neff, and Mike Considine. The team also qualified for Sectionals. The frosh-soph team placed first in Conference, was undefeated in seven dual meets, and outran all others in the league meet. Scores Don't Tell the Whole Story This year's varsity football team played better than the scores showed. We beat Addison Trail 21-7, inched by Downers Grove South 19-14, and tied East Leyden 14 all. We let York get by us 6-27, and lost a heartbreaker to Glenbard East 7-13. Hins- dale South lucked out 16-32, Morton West downed us 8-26, and West Leyden took the game by O-34. Steve Stein, the Most Valuable Player, and Dave Westrom, the Most Improved Player, helped Captains Jim Prusa, Steve Stein, and Tom Hicks and the team con- siderably. 1. Morton West 5. Willowbrook 2. Downers Grove South Jayvees Great, But Frosh Flounder This year's junior varsity team had a better record than varsity and promises to be a winner in 1970. We had a record of 5-1-2, beating Morton West 12-8, York 20- 18, Glenbard East 33-13, Downers Grove South 30-14, and West Leyden 30-14. Our only defeat was by East Leyden, 20-6. We tied Hinsdale South 6 all and Addison Trail 14 all. This year's freshman team gave us lots of laughs, scoring twice all year. FRESHMAN TEAM: FRONT ROW: Tom Karcz, Gary Current.
