Anderson, and K. 1 Concert Orchestra RECEIVES Under the guidance of Mr. Robert Shamo, this year's orchestra has lived up to its aim to play the best I . orchestral literature possible. Standlng OVatIOn This year the orchestra played a guest assembly at Elgin High School. They also participated in four recitals for school and public, along with the band and chorus students. These performance exemplified the excellent achievements of the orchestra. There are several levels of orchestra to fit the abilities of all students who wish to play instruments. For the novice, there is the beginning string class. The inter- mediate player may learn technique and gain experience in the cadet orchestra. For the veteran performer, the concert orchestra provides greater challenge and variety. Also there is the chamber orchestra, a small group of our most able performers. 90
