Distributive Education is a three-dimensional vocational cooperative part-time program in the field of marketing and distribution. Classroom instruction and activities are the first dimension, organized by the teacher-coordinator. The second dimension is the learning experience and training that is received on the job. The third dimension comprises the activities of Distributive Education Club. D.E. students receive one credit for in-class learning activities and one credit per semester for on-the-job training. D.E. activities include field trips, selling concessions, and conven- tions. At the end of the year, D.E. students hold their annual Employer-Employee Luncheon. D.O. Spending a half-day at school and the other half working is how the members of Diversified Occupations spend their junior and senior years. The students work at a job that will help them learn about their future occupation.
